BRANSONBULLETIN BRANSON AUTO AND FARM MUSEUM Dedicated to the appreciation and preservation of historic automobiles. With two acres of vintage farm equipment and vehicles dating from the 1900s all the way to today, you're sure to fi nd something that takes you back to your childhood and keeps you talking about the good ol' days for hours. The 90,000 sq. ft. building, with one half dedicated to classic and antique automotive history and the other half to farming implements and equipment history, is unique in that most of the vehicles are for sale. And they are always looking for interesting cars and tractors to add to the collection. Located south of Branson at Top of the Rock are Lost Canyon Cave and Nature Trail and the Ancient Ozarks Natural History Museum. You can take a 2 ½ mile ride on an electric golf cart along a scenic mountain trail and through a four-story cave with a cascading waterfall and bar. Be sure to tour the museum, which is home to the carbon-dated remains of a woolly mammoth, a saber-tooth cat and a prehistoric cave bear; the exhibits were created by the same team that made notable displays at the Chicago Field Museum. In addition to these attractions, enjoy Arnie's Barn restaurant with fabulous food and drink, and of course the Jack Nicklaus signature course will beckon golfers. Typically the Big Show sells out! The Big Show has become a tradition for many visitors who plan their trip to Branson around the event. It's also something local residents enjoy. We all have a good time, get to see some of our favorite shows, see some of the new shows, and the proceeds are used to help market the Branson," says Sue Braun, Executive Director of The League of Branson Theatre Owners & Show Producers (The Branson Show League). The annual Hot Winter Fun Big Show is sponsored by the Branson Show League. "Marketing the months of January, February, and March as Hot Winter Fun started in 1994 as a way to let our guests know they could enjoy the Branson experience year 'round. The Hot Winter Fun Big Show was created to raise funds to help us market Branson," says Cindy Merry, marketing chair for The Branson Show League. All of the entertainers donate their performances to the cause. Many volunteers and local businesses including the Branson Tri-Lakes News, Ozark Mountain Newspapers, Northwest Arkansas Democrat, and others help to market and sponsor the show.
