AVOCADO DEVILED EGGS Ingredients • 6 hard-boiled eggs, peeled and halved • 1 avocado - peeled, pitted, and diced • 3 slices cooked turkey bacon, chopped, divided • 2 1/2 tablespoons mayonnaise • 2 teaspoons lime juice • 1 clove garlic, crushed • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper • Sea salt to taste • 1 jalapeño pepper, sliced (optional) • 1 dash hot sauce, or to taste (optional) Directions 1. Scoop egg yolks into a bowl; add avocado, 2/3 of chopped turkey bacon, mayonnaise, lime juice, garlic, cayenne pepper, and salt. Mash egg yolk mixture until filling is evenly combined. 2. Spoon filling into a piping bag or plastic bag with a snipped corner. Pipe filling into each egg white; top with a turkey bacon piece, jalapeño slice, and dash hot sauce. TRADITIONAL DEVILED EGGS Ingredients • 8 eggs • 1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard • 1 tablespoon creamy salad dressing (such as Miracle Whip®), or as needed • salt and pepper to taste • 1 pinch paprika Directions 1. Place eggs in saucepan and cover with water. Bring to boil. Cover, remove from heat, and let eggs sit in hot water for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from hot water and cool in ice water. 2. Peel and cut in half lengthwise. Remove yolks and combine with mustard, salad dressing and salt and pepper. Mix together until smooth. 3. Refill each egg half with the yolk mixture and sprinkle with paprika. RECIPES Mitsuka: Yes. OKM: Are you going to be a better shopper because you learned about it? Mitsuka: I guess.
