The intaglios are a series of gigantic geoglyphs found fi fteen miles north of Blythe, California in the Colorado Desert. Visits to the intaglios will be led Alfredo Acosta Figueroa, considered to the keeper of the glyphs. Mae- stro Alfredo Figueroa, has studied the Geoglyphs for 60 years and has learned to read the Aztec Codices. Many Aztec people are coming home for the event. In the Southwestern United States alone, there are over 600 intaglios (anthropomorphic geoglyphs), but what separates the ones near Blythe is their size and intricacy. In total, there are six fi gures in three different locations, all within 1,000 feet from one another, situated on two mesas. The geoglyphs depict drawings of humans, animals, ob- jects, and geometric shapes, all of which can be seen from the air. They extend from Needles. California to Yuma, Arizona along the Colorado River but are concentrated near Blythe. There are about 300 in Blythe in La Cuna de Aztlán, the Cradle the Original home of the Aztec and UtoAz- tecan speaking peoples. The event is still seeking artists, craftspeople and vendors who would receive a 10x10 booth at a cost of $200 for the duration of the event. Vendor details and application information can be found at: https:// www.facebook.com/events/202428844008439. Potential vendors may contact Thomas Johnson at: rockshop09@hotmail.com or 937-205-3810 This event is a labor of love. A Peace summit delegation previously went to receive JOYOUS MAN THE PEACE POLE that was made by Chief Blue Star Eagle. They were greeted warmly by Chief Golden Light Eagle and his Sun dancers. During that sacred moment, Chief said that the Star Knowledge and Serpent Mound Peace Summit families are now joined. During this beautiful ceremony, a message came from Chief Blue Star Eagle. The message was to bring many people from around the world and many local Native Tribes of the Colorado River, together to bring awareness to the sacred area of Blythe California. Full details about the event may be found at: https://www.facebook. com/events/431544053996694 Star Knowledge Peace Summit planned Jan. 11-13, 2019 in Blythe, CA Save on taxes Wouldn't You Rather Donate to the Food Bank Than Pay Your AZ Taxes?
