3 Beta Psi Chapter at the University of Kentucky AlphA DeltA pi OUR NEEDS AND OPPORTUNITIES W hile the Beta Psi experience is certainly more than the bricks and mortar of the chapter house, our home undoubtedly plays a significant role in the development of our sisters and as a proud symbol of our shared values and goals. 476 Rose Street has been a part of Beta Psi's legacy for many years, and it is beginning to show its age. It has become clear we must make a major investment in our chapter house if we are to remain competitive, provide a quality living environment, and expand living and learning opportunities for our members. The safety of our 280-plus collegians is of utmost importance to the Beta Psi House Corporation Board; we must offer a structurally sound and safe home for our members. Much like our personal homes, our chapter house must be a safe haven that instills confidence in our members and their parents. PURSUING EXCELLENCE The University of Kentucky is as academically challenging as ever and the need for an enhanced, quiet, well-lit, and comfortable study space within our facility is necessary for our members to achieve. We have all seen the impact of technology over the years, as devices not present during your college years are now necessities, including personal computers, high-speed internet access, email, and more. Our plan will ensure that Beta Psi excels academically and remains the scholastic leader on campus and within the Greek system. SETTING OURSELVES APART While Alpha Delta Pi continues to attract some of the top women, we know that it is possible that we are losing quality potential members to other sororities that offer a more competitive living environment. We must also compete with the amenities offered in newly renovated on-campus residence halls and off-campus apartments and homes. The University of Kentucky has invested in housing as well, building 14 new residence halls since 2013. For Beta Psi to remain a premier sorority at the University of Kentucky, we must renovate and expand our facility to continue our chapter's tradition of excellence.
