It has been a long time since he has felt well but he is on the mend and hopes to get back to the store soon. All the prayers and well wishes have really helped. Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting planned Monday, Dec. 10 The public is invited the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Coyote Fresh Foods located at 410 E. Main St. Quartzsite. Quartzsite Area Chamber of Com- merce & Tourism will host the ribbon cutting at 10am Monday, Decem- ber 10. There will be refreshments served. Owners Mark and Brenda Goff told Desert Messenger they will celebrate their grand opening all week with announced specials and surprise specials, too. On Thursday, Dec. 13, Mark will host a Cookout at the store with a Prime Rib Eye Steak special. Mark and Brenda Goff began coming to Quartzsite in 2011 as snowbirds. They were planning to take it easy and enjoy the desert, but that didn't last long. After being in the grocery business for many years back in Indiana, they still had the fever for the business. Mark went to work at Roadrun- ner Market and Brenda soon followed. We enjoyed helping Steve build his business and meeting lots of wonderful people along the way. "This year we had the opportunity to purchase the General Store and we jumped in with both feet," said Brenda. When Mark left the company in Indiana he had moved up the ranks from clean up boy at age 16 to dis- trict supervisor for almost 30 stores. That is how Brenda and Mark met. Brenda had moved up the ladder with the same company and was district supervisor over 15 stores. The company had a lot of bonus opportunities, so Mark and Brenda were always competing against each other. Brenda says that was the fun part, "We are very excited about Coyote Fresh Foods and look forward to serving you. Come check us out." Keep Quartzsite Clean and Beautiful As snowbirds return home to their favorite winter nests, the Desert Messenger wishes to remind everyone not to put their trimmings/ brush in the washes.
