Chi Zetagram 4 Meet Njay Tailor '18 X2002 W e are very happy to introduce the new High Rho (Alumni Relations) at Chi Zeta, Njay Tailor '18 X2022. One of the new initiates last spring, Njay is a junior majoring in aerospace engineering. "One of my goals for Chi Zeta is to build men of success and continue the caliber of what the alumni have made out of themselves," Njay said. "I want to thank the advisory board for the appointment of High Rho and the opportunity to develop myself as well as others in this position." Obviously, we are in good hands! A s mid-semester hits here at Chi Zeta, so do the midterms—they hit quite hard this fall. After a stressful week of tests and quizzes, the brothers were excited for a brotherhood getaway trip to relax and enjoy their weekend. There is something about indulging ourselves in nature that replenishes our peace, and that is why we have made the canoe trip a yearly event. We would like to thank the alumni for sponsoring the event and continuing to make our much-needed getaway possible! Brotherhood Canoe Trip (Right) The ΛΧΑ inaugural 3-on-3 basketball tournament was the centerpiece of our recruiting effort. The actives, led by High Delta Mitch Gribble, staged a tournament that included over 100 freshmen, held over Labor Day weekend. (Left) Brothers at Quad Day. About 10 actives volunteered to move in freshmen into their dorm rooms during New Student Week. All these efforts let to the large Associate Member class. The seniors gather for one of their last annual trips with Chi Zeta. Brothers Cody Bowman '16 X2198, Dan Lydon '16 X2206, Johnny O'Shea '16 X2209, and Mike Koelzer '16 X2203 all agree that the canoe trip is one of the chapter's greatest bonding moments. "Everyone shares stories and reflects on the past," Mike said. "There is nothing to worry about because you are away from school and your phone does not receive connection. All you can do is prioritize each other—and stay afloat, of course!" Brother Mike Hogan '16 X2184 feeling one with nature on the brotherhood canoe trip. "The sun was scorching at that time, and the breeze just felt so good I had to dwell in it much as I could. I should have just jumped in the water." After a long bus ride early in the morning, how can we blame him? GREAT RECRUITMENT EFFORTS!
