The academic bud- get was also expanded to make the purchase of a printer for brothers to have ease of access to their study materials. Last spring nine of our brothers were ranked in Butler's Top 100 Students for Ac- ademic Excellence, and we plan to have another round of university-recognized successes for the remainder of this academic year. Preparing for Recruitment This year we are welcoming Austin Cobb '19 as our new head of recruitment. We held our first formal recruitment event in early October, which was met with extremely high attendance. We look forward to formal recruitment at the Shelter in January to welcome new and fresh faces with the opportunity of embracing and upholding our fraternal values. Matt White Cure ALS Foundation Our annual spring TRIKE charity philanthropy at the Shelter raised $55,000 to benefit Riley Children's Hospital. This fall we raised nearly $10,000 for Delt Dunk in honor of Matt White '89, and we are overjoyed to continue our work with the Matt White Cure ALS Foundation. Brothers have also been volunteering and giv- ing their time at events for the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation by participating in One Walk, JDRF's annual walkathon event. We had great success at our semester philanthropy event, Delt Taucos, again to fundraise for JDRF. Broth- ers have completed more than 700 service hours since the start of the year. Beta Zeta Chapter Makes Striking Impact through Philanthropy Undergraduates on the Rise at Butler Beta Zeta in the Limelight at Butler We are pleased to announce that campus in- volvement is at an all-time high for Beta Zeta. We have brothers holding executive positions on Butler Dance Marathon, College Mentors for Kids, Sustainability Club, Student Govern- ment Association and many, many more. During welcome week, 28 of the 160 student orientation guides were Delts and two Delts were student orientation coordinators who helped organize the entirety of Butler Welcome Week. Chris Sand- ers '19 played an integral role on Butler Program Board and organized Butler Palooza, a concert which featured the popular band Fitz & The Tan- trums. Isaiah Strong '19 was also crowned for Homecoming court at the annual Homecoming football game. Beta Zeta placed second in Yell Like Hell with the women of Alpha Chi Omega. Grateful for Alumni Support Thank you so much to all our brothers who came to the annual Alumni Night this fall. Alumni of all generations enjoyed a wonderful evening of connecting and sharing stories of Beta Zeta's past and present. We would like to thank all of the alumni for your contributions, which make everything we do here at Beta Zeta possible. Your continued support of Beta Zeta is deeply appreciated by all active members of the chapter and will fund the growth of the chapter.
