The Chapter House Corporation (CHC) board is responsible for facilities and property management as well as employment and personnel management. The board is an elected volunteer board that partners with the House Director and the Chapter Vice President of Housing to make decisions regarding the house, the personnel working at the house, and managing the long-term strategy for providing a wonderful home for chapter members. Seven alumnae serve on the board and are UGA graduates who lived at 886 South Milledge. The Vice President of Housing for the Georgia Alpha Chapter also serves as a voting member of CHC. Three of the alumnae went through the major expansion and renovation in 1968-69 when we added the two residential wings to the house. Two members were in school in 1998 when the chapter experienced a fire during recruitment that led to the house being closed for almost a year for major repairs. In 2011, with a bank loan, CHC funded improvements to the bathrooms and a new house director suite.
