Ralph Overstreet served with the U.S. Navy Seabees until 1948, when he returned to Northwest Arkansas with his wife, Belle Little, and two sons. Overstreet's Jewelry has since worked to bring joy, love and keepsakes to members of the community. Don, the eldest son, stepped into the family business in 1977, and his nephew Doug joined in 1994. Both are certified gemologists with American Gem Society and work diligently to stay current on precious gem and dia - mond information. Don and Doug Overstreet emphasize the importance of customer service to their employees. That leadership, along with their dedication to being active in community life, has contributed to them being voted top jeweler by readers of the Benton County Daily Record the last six years in a row. Ralph Overstreet, 94, continues to repair watches and clocks as he did when the store began, and his grandson Doug designs and rebuilds custom jewelry. "We have the ability to provide full custom design and construction right here in the store to get exactly the right look for you," Don Overstreet said. "All of us here really do want to make you happy with your jewelry." Overstreet's carries both modern and traditional styles of ceremonious rings and gifts, including Hearts of Fire, Andrea Candela and Seiko clocks and watches. The ex - panded bridal line includes more than 100 wedding sets of The Signature Collection. The store also offers more than 150 pieces of the Diva Diamonds sterling silver and dia- mond series of necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings.
