Joe plays in many towns between Quartzsite, Arizona and Victoria, Canada with his wife Bonnie. Joe & Bonnie have played weekly at the Quartzsite VFW, hosted the Quartzsite City Limits Variety Show at Riggles RV Center last year. And at the Five Star Re- sort Outdoor Stage they put on an annual outdoor fundraiser show for Quartzsite children. This time Joe is putting together the Quartzsite Improvement Assoc. (QIA) special event backed by the Moon Mountain Gang and without Bonnie, who is in Victoria, Canada still, waiting on her daughter to give birth to her 4th grandchild. Joe's special guest and fi rst time to Quartzsite, lead guitar player Rod- ger Bigelow who plays gigs with Joe & Bonnie up in Sequim, Washing- ton over summer. Rodger Bigelow has helped keep Live Music Alive in Washington State since the early sixties. He plays Rock n' Roll the way he lived it in the 50s and 60s, and Country Music with a cool hand and a lot of sweet feeling. Multitalented John Gibson, our classical violinist turned country fi ddler, still keeps his hand in the Symphony when he's back in Hoqi- um, Southern Washington. But here in Quartzsite he is a bandmember of Skyhawk as well as accompany- ing Bonnie & Joe Thursdays at the VFW and juggling a few other gigs on the side. He is now singing and taking up the guitar as well. Previ- ously, John was a fi ddler with Bob Anderson and the Western Strings. Ray Carroll, born and raised in Arizona, is a former drummer of Skyhawk, and he spends summer 6,000 ft up in Eager, Arizona with his lovely wife Normagale. They will come down off the mountain soon so Ray can join us on the drums! The beautiful and well seasoned vocalist Judy Bagley, born in Tex- as, has lived in Alaska the past 48 years. Some may remember she played guitar and vocals with the "Country Gentlemen" for 18 years. Then the "Grandmas and Grand- pas" for 6 years. Now in addition to accompanying Bonnie & Joe as part of the Moon Mountain Gang Judy Bagley and Ross Kibel will also be playing at QIA twice a month at the Thursday Country Show with Mar- tha McKay and Bob Anderson. Ross Kibel, who spends summers in Colorado, also has a jam which starts up again Saturday, Nov 17th at 4:00 pm at Mountain Quail #2 on Cowell Street. Ross also played bass regularly with Bonnie & Joe at the Quartzsite City Limits show at Riggles and the 5 Star Resort Chil- dren's Fundraiser last year and is a solid musician and friend. Joe and the Moon Mountain Gang will keep you entertained with Joe's repertoire of danceable Classic Country, a splash of Delta Blues and some Old Time Rock & Roll. Wheth- er you bring your dance shoes or tap your toes... It's All in Good Fun!!! We are playing the VFW every Thursday for Taco night this year (I may have forgotten to mention Joe will be starting in November at VFW) as well as another QIA show together as Bonnie & Joe in early March.
