Every year 4-H Cluns across the nation have an event called Trick Or Treat
So Others Can Eat. Canned food is collected by the youth and donated to
a food bank or local organization. In the past Denim N Dust 4-H Club has
collected and given to Carol's Cupboard. This year the youth decided to help
out Eve's Place, whose clients are victims of domestic violence. During the
month of October Denim N Dust 4-H Club along with the Rainbow Acres
Community and Maggie Ross collected Thanksgiving type food. The 4-H
Club collected 270 pounds of canned and nonperishable foods. Enough food
to put together 20 baskets for Eve's Place Quartzsite clients. There were also
many of the Congregation at Covenant Lutheran church that donated funds
for 25 hams. Several local business folks donated funds. Thank you the lo-
cal pharmacist, Dana Beam, and Sonoran Heart. The new owners of Coyote
Fresh have given us great prices on the hams, pies and rolls.
