Happy Fall Rho Chapter Alumnae! Sisters Welcomed Back to the House with New Renovations Thanks to Your Contributions all semester is in full swing for Rho Chapter, and the chapter continues to excel in many areas. The chapter returned with only four spots open to reach campus total, and pledged four great new members in September! The members were excited to see the projects House Corporation had planned that were completed over the summer break. Among the improvements done over the summer were the installation of air conditioning units on the first floor, redecorating the TV room, a new roof, painting the front of the house, new bedroom furniture for our two new triple rooms, and painting the walls of the living room and study room, which also had new artwork installed. Alumnae gathered in Columbus on Homecoming Saturday for a brunch at the chapter house and appetizers in the evening at the Red Hook Grill, and had a great time reconnecting with each other. We hope to make the Homecoming brunch an annual event, except for our centennial year, as Homecoming is a great time for alumnae to return to the Ohio State campus! The Rho Chapter centennial celebration will take place October 15-17, 2021, in Columbus. Our initial email was sent in August, and active planning will begin in the summer of 2019. Please be sure we have your current mailing address and email address so we can keep in touch with you regarding all centennial-related plans. If you have not already done so, please let us know if you would like to volunteer in some capacity at aephiosu.centennial@gmail.com. Rho Chapter lost a shining light recently with the passing of Betty Frank Schoenbaum '36 at the age of 100. Betty was an inspiration to many of us, and was extremely generous to Rho Chapter, Ohio State, and the communities she resided in. Betty's last gift to Rho Chapter made the TV room remodel possible, and we will always be grateful for her support of the chapter. House Corporation and the chapter members are so appreciative of all alumnae who have contributed to the Rho Chapter annual giving campaign! Your support and commitment to Rho Chapter is greatly appreciated, and is important as we work to provide a well- appointed home for our members for many years to come. Please remember to send in your biographical updates so we can share your news in the next newsletter. We love to hear from you! LML & Go Bucks!!
