Gamma Phi Beta | 3 Maintaining the Gamma Phi Beta Way Chapter Sets Its Sights on Successful Year A lpha Xi sisters returned to 3030 Daniel after a summer full of travel, internships, and sisterhood and are ready for a successful year at SMU. Several members attended Convention in Dallas this summer where they had the opportunity to perform ritual alongside International President Annabel Jones, University of Oklahoma '73. Visiting with sisters who value our ritual was especially important to those members in attendance. Sisters also learned how far and wide our sisterhood spans and saw the incredibly positive impact Gamma Phi Beta has made in so many lives. Summer Ventures Many sisters met during the summer and have been sharing their incredible experiences with us since returning home. Sisters interned at a number of places, including Paramount Pictures, the Dallas Stars, the White House, Expedia, and LifeShare of Oklahoma. A handful of sisters also visited and studied abroad in Italy, France, Germany, Israel, and Austria. Dedicated to Sisterhood and Philanthropy We have had a busy, yet successful start to the year. Two of our favorite events thus far were our sisterhood retreat at Lake Grapevine and our Pink Picnic philanthropic event. We had a great time welcoming everyone back to campus with snow cones and raising money for Girls on the Run. Looking to the Future We have many exciting events this semester and are already preparing for formal recruitment in January. We invite you to follow us on Instagram at @smugammaphibeta to stay updated on all our upcoming events, and as always, please feel free to drop by the chapter house to say hello to our wonderful members.
