THETA OMEGA UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS
Theta Omega Grows by 64 This Fall
T
he women of Delta Delta Delta Theta Omega Chapter are prepared
for a busy fall semester. Fall formal recruitment took place in August
and we are so excited to welcome 64 new members to the new member class
of 2018. Since being initiated on October 7, the new members have taken
part in many sisterhood activities, including our Bid Day mixer with the men
of Kappa Sigma, St. Jude social media push, multiple serenades, KU Family
Weekend BBQ, and Homecoming on September 29.
This past semester our chapter earned the sixth highest GPA in the
Panhellenic Council with a 3.37.
At the end of the spring semester, our chapter raised a total of
$44,769 for St. Jude from our Sincerely Yours letter-writing
campaign and Delta Diner pancake feed.
Over the summer our chapter house received two completely
renovated bathrooms (top and middle left), a renovated TV lounge
(bottom left), and fresh paint indoors.
New House Director, "Mom" Penny Sassaman, joins us from a
chapter at Mizzou. She is originally a Lawrence native, and we are
so excited to have her!
This fall we look forward to our Mom/Dot pairings reveal, Old Maid cos-
tume function on October 26, Dad's Weekend November 2-4, Sincerely
Yours letter-writing campaign for St. Jude on November 14, and our semi-
formal event on November 30. We always love to see our alumnae, so if you
find yourself in Lawrence for any reason this fall, please stop by the house
and say hi!
