delta-sig.org Dear Brothers, e start of the fall 2018 semester brought excitement to recruit new members and grow the Chapter. Headquarters conducted a summer re- treat to prepare brothers, advisors, and Alumni Control Board members for the upcoming school year. is retreat was beneficial for the actives and helped motivate them to recruit eight new members for the semes- ter. Brothers held multiple successful recruitment events, including our annual hog roast. To ensure the house is looking great for our upcoming 100-year celebration there are many house improvements in the works, such as a new exterior kitchen door and new overhead lighting in the home. e semester is going smoothly thanks to support from our amazing housemother, Wilma, who cooks meals for the actives every weekday. Due to the hard work of our brothers, the Chapter continues to move in a positive direction. Alpha Eta Remains Involved with the Community Community service is an important priority to the brothers of Alpha Eta. With a new requirement of at least 15 hours per brother, the Chapter has been busy participating in additional community service opportunities. At the beginning of the semester, the Chapter helped with Klondike's Crew, where new freshmen are moved into their dorms. en, in early September, the brothers went to St. Patrick Catholic Church to help remove pews and carpet for the church remodel. Finally, the Chapter participated in highway cleanup, helping to pick up trash along a stretch of OH-235. Upcoming service opportunities for the rest of the semester include volunteering at a local retirement home and helping with mini football league concession stands. Without a doubt, the broth- ers will accumulate more than the required 15 hours each semester.
