In recognition of the fundraising efforts of the Parents Club, and to ensure that the accom- modations within the house remain befitting of one of the elite fraternities on campus, the Texas Alpha Housing Corporation agreed to pay for renovations with a cost matching, or exceeding, the funds raised by the Parents Club auction. Aer receiving recommendations from mem- bers of the chapter, alumni and members of the Parents Club, renovations totaling more than $125,000 were completed during the summer break. All of the flooring in the first-floor common areas was replaced. Most all com- mon area rooms were re-painted to match the new flooring, and new table and chairs were purchased for the dining room and Chapman Room. e new décor is intended to facilitate better utilization of the common area spaces, and to promote brotherhood and educational uses. To that end, the addition of tables, chairs and upgraded Wi-Fi are intended to make the Chapman Room an ideal setting for individu- al and group study sessions. Many thanks to the Parents Club, to the do- nors at the auction, and to the contributors to the Texas Alpha Housing Corporation that made these renovations, furnishings and contributions to the Education Foundation a reality. We would also like to thank Bill Imhoff '78, president and CEO of Intertech Commercial Flooring, for his part in provid- ing superior flooring at an affordable price. As the members came back from summer break and experienced the new surround- ings, they expressed their excitement and appreciation. We are also excited to see the Chapman Room utilized for study sessions during these early weeks of the fall semester. Renovations at the chapter house in the dining hall.
