She trains new volunteers, and teaches a class where she speaks about animals from 11 different exhibits. Anyone who shows up in Nebraska gear or a Gamma Phi shirt is sure to get special attention from Jacqueline. She had so many amazing experiences with her sisters during her time with Gamma Phi. Be sure to look for her if you ever visit the San Diego Zoo! Nicki Hitz Ayer '89 lives with her husband, Doug, in Gretna, Neb. She coordinates a network of faith Gamma Phi Beta A s I live out my senior year and round out my time as president, I am constantly reminded of how precious my time in Gamma Phi Beta has been. Looking back at my time here, I am beyond blessed to have been surrounded with the most inspiring women as we have been able to create incredible memories. These women have taught me how to be a better woman, friend, and leader. I am so grateful for each person I have met through my time in Gamma Phi Beta. We ended the spring semester earning the top GPA out of any Greek chapter with a cumulative chapter GPA of 3.712. We also have the largest chapter membership on UNL's campus. I am so proud of the women in our chapter and their continued dedication to their schoolwork and future careers. In August, we recruited 56 wonderful new members into the sisterhood. Each of these women brings something unique into the chapter, and I am so excited to see their journey over the next four years at UNL. Thank you to everyone who helped create a successful recruitment, whether it was through volunteering your time, writing a reference letter, or attending mock recruitment. This fall has been quite busy! We just participated in Homecoming week with our fellow triad members Delta Gamma, Theta Xi, and Acacia. The theme this year was "Bringing the Tradition Home." I am so happy to report that we won Homecoming! We also earned first place in the yard display competition with our triad. We had a busy week donating blood, volunteering, dancing at Monday Night Live, running a 5K, cheering on the parade, and much more. I was honored to represent Gamma Phi Beta alongside Molli Hagge '15 on Homecoming court this year. On September 13, we hosted our annual Scoops for Schools with FarmHouse Fraternity where we raised money for Lighthouse. We loved interacting with our community and giving back to a good cause. On September 30 we held our annual Dad's Day where we held a cornhole tournament and went fishing out at Branched Oak Lake. We love showing our families the sisterhood we share at Gamma Phi Beta. We will continue to stay busy throughout the rest of the semester with Big/Little week, formals, Initiation, Mom's Brunch, Founder's Day with the Kearney and Creighton chapters, volunteering at the Girls on the Run 5K, and more. None of this would be possible without the help from our chapter advisor Angie Miller '82, our Affiliated House Corporation, our advisors, and our alumnae who have made our sisterhood what it is today. As graduation nears, I look forward to a lifetime commitment to Gamma Phi Beta. I will forever cherish my time in college, and am beyond grateful for all the opportunities UNL and Gamma Phi Beta has provided me!
