all semester is in full swing and Tri Delta activities are beginning as well. Formal recruitment took place the week of August 13, and we had a wonderful turnout. Dad's Weekend, Homecoming, and our philanthropy event are on the fall calendar. Our officers are working tirelessly to make sure these events go according to plan! Our fall formal recruitment had a great turnout, and we were able to successfully recruit 48 new members! Cameron Horsely '16, our vice president of membership, said, "Recruitment went amazing! Our girls worked so hard and it really showed. We're all excited to get to know the new women in our chapter and to bring in more this semester through the continuous open bidding process." Our philanthropy chairman, Bridget Howard '16, has been organizing our upcoming philanthropy event, Delta House of Pancakes (DHOP). DHOP is an event that is held every fall where members sell tickets in return for pancakes made by our chef at the Chapter House. Last year, we were able to raise over $33,000 in total for St. Jude, which is the highest amount raised for a philanthropy by any Greek organization on Kansas State's campus. Homecoming was the week of October 8 this year, and our Homecoming partner was Delta Upsilon. Our members worked on putting together a float for the parade on October 13. Dad's Weekend was September 28-30, and our member development chairman, Sydney Saunders '16, planned many fun activities such as going to the shooting range, attending the KSU home football game, and a brunch for all of the Tri Delta fathers. Special thanks to all alumnae who were able to attend our Rush the Alums event that our alumnae relations chair, Jess Richards '16, was able to organize. This will be a great semester for KSU Tri Delta, and we are so excited to welcome our 48 new members to their new home away from home. Thank you to all of our alumnae who support us as well as our family and friends! We love showing off our beautiful home, so please feel free to stop by and get a tour! Delta Love, Lindsay Albers '15 Chapter President lralbers@ksu.edu The Golden Crescent 2 n September 18, our chapter held a 24-hour social media challenge starting at 10 a.m. to raise $10,000 for St. Jude, with members posting donation links on all forms of social media. Members posted about this challenge multiple times throughout the day and told many students and faculty at Kansas State about our challenge in person. In just the first two hours we were able to surpass our original goal of $10,000, and by the end of the challenge the next morning we had raised over $36,000 with the final total being over $38,000! I cannot speak to how incredible and giving the women in our sorority are for making this happen and going above and beyond expectations. The passion and love we all hold for St. Jude is very apparent, and we are so thankful for everyone who donated and helped make reaching our goal possible!
