"Knowing that we are in the Ozarks, a big part of that is hearty Southern food specialized for our region. We want to keep the rustic feeling of beans and corn bread," William added with a smile. Despite Eleven not serving fried foods, people keep going back for the sole positive experience of a meal. "We try to offer as many good-for-you dishes as possible. Foods that are uplifting and make you feel good. We want to be that place that provides nourishment—not just filler food," William explains. William's fall items radiate fall flavors you can't pass up. Foods ranging from squash to braised meats and roasted chicken to seasonal greens can be paired with a glass of wine, a cocktail, or a pumpkin spice-flavored drink. If you're not a fan of meats, Eleven is vegetarian and vegan-friendly. "We try to welcome everybody here. We have many different offerings," William added. A Sense of Community It's important for William to capture a sense of community, showcased in the current art exhibition, in his fall menu at Eleven. "The new fall menu is about a sense of community, family style dining and sharing. Instead of having a tasting menu, were going to have small plates that are meant to be shared, which echoes not just this feeling and sentiment of the south and the Ozarks, but it is also inspired by the art." Growing up in a family that had dinner together every night inspired William's family style dining menu. "I grew up in a family that had dinner together every night. Sunday was a big cooking day for us. We would sit down and prepare this beautiful meal and watch football. It was a beautiful Sunday dinner, which is what we want our guests to experience when they visit with family and share a meal," he said. Ultimately, William wants Eleven to be a gathering place for friends and families: "I want it to be a place to sit and have this communal experience where dishes and drinks are passed around and shared among friends," he said. Eleven serves lunch on Wednesday- Monday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., dinner on Wednesday-Friday from 5-9 p.m., and brunch on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Reservations are available for dinner and brunch. Culture Hour takes place every Wednesday-Friday night from 5-7 p.m. with discounted prices on select food and drinks. The Coffee Bar at Eleven serves grab-and-go sandwiches, salads, and pastries during museum hours, with coffee from Onyx Coffee Lab.
