The Chico Rage will be hosting an exhibition bas- ketball game at Red Bluff High School 6 p.m. May 15 with proceeds generat- ed from the game going to the school's athletic department. The Rage will be playing their ABA NorCal Division rivals the Clayton Showtime. The Showtime were ranked in the Top 10 of the 55-team league the entire 2009- 2010 season and earned a spot in the ABA playoffs. The Rage completed their first season as an ABA travel team and finished with a 5-5 record. Admis- sion to the game will be $5. Basketball fundraiser for RBHS Saturday Spartans knock off PV 4-3 The Lady Spartans softball team avenged their only Eastern Athletic League loss with a 4-3 win at Pleasant Valley, Wednesday. Red Bluff scored three of their runs on passed balls to improve to 12-1 in the EAL and 26-7 overall. They have already clinched the league title and No. 1 seed for the playoffs. In the third inning, Red Bluff got on the board first. Bailey Dagen drew a walk and Emily McEnaney singled to get things going. Megan McColpin laid down a sacrifice run, but the Vikings forced Dagen out at third base. See SPARTANS, page 2B
