4 These challenges (and many others!) have led the House Corporation Board to explore a major construction project to address these needs and ensure the safety of our members. Much like our personal homes, our Chapter House must provide a safe haven that instills confidence in our members and their families. Preserving Our Legacy Previous Chapter House renovations have successfully addressed facility needs to accommodate the undergraduate membership. In the past when updates were needed, Tau Beta alumnae responded generously. The Chapter House was updated with improvements to the kitchen, bathrooms, den, and second-floor bedrooms. This allowed Tau Beta to remain competitive with other renovated houses at OSU. However, as with any home, the need for continual improvements is critical. The House Corporation Board works hard to regularly maintain the facility. It is clear that we must make a major investment if Chi Omega is to continue providing a quality living environment and remain competitive on campus in the years ahead. Setting Chi Omega Apart The OSU Greek system remains extremely strong. Currently, 900 women go through recruitment at OSU each fall. Several sororities and many campus residences have dramatically upgraded both quality and amenities, increasing competition within the Greek community. As we are all aware, Tau Beta has always been a leader in the Greek community at OSU. As leaders on campus, we want to continue to be the first among Greek women! In order to make that happen, we need to consider the future of 310 South Monroe.
