Alpha Beta Chapter 5 Walking on a Path of Service I n September, Donna Stallard, Alpha Chi '69 celebrated 49 years of membership with Phi Mu and paused to reflect on the numerous ways the organization has influenced her life. As the current house director for Alpha Beta, her bonds to Phi Mu have only grown stronger with time. "I have wanted to be the house director for more than three years and was thrilled when I was selected. I love being in Fayetteville and working with the chapter, advisers, House Corporation officers, and alumnae." Lending a Helping Hand Donna began her journey as an alumna volunteer at the area level in 1988 after serving as the Fort Worth, Texas, alumnae chapter's presi- dent. Her other roles since then have further enriched her Phi Mu ex- perience and increased her daily observance of the ΦΜ creed. These various commitments included: • Area alumnae director: 1989-1991 • Area finance director: 1991-1994 • Collegiate finance director: 1994-1997 • Financial planning group: 1994-2002 • Public relations and editorial director: 1997-1998 • Phi Mu Foundation Board of Trustees: 1998-2002 • Vice president of finance: 1998-2002 • National Panhellenic Conference Alternate Delegate: 2003-2010 • Vice president Panhellenic and NPC Delegate: 2010-2018 Walking in the Way of Honor Due to Donna's plethora of experiences, she has become a valuable asset not only to Phi Mu but the National Panhellenic Conference as well. She just retired as the NPC delegate for Phi Mu after serv- ing in that role since 2010. Donna concurrently served and still continues to serve as a NPC college Panhellenic area advisor for several campuses, release figure method specialist, and director on the Fraternity and Sorority Political Action Committee. Serving in the Light of Truth Volunteering in this capacity allowed Donna to take an active role to re-open Alpha Beta in 2012. "I had the honor to help install the chap- ter and spent a week in Fayetteville during their first recruitment in 2013 as the Panhellenic rep- resentative. I was also on the National Council when we approved the plans for building the new Chapter House." Donna retired from her full-time positon with Tarrant County College in August 2011 after 22 years, and has been working part time since October 2011. She also kept busy during the tax season as a tax professional for H&R Block for the past 15 years.
