While e-commerce players can offer a seemingly endless lineup of items, physical stores are limited by their four walls. Shopping online is only a partial solution. The majority of retail transactions still happen offline in brick and mortar stores. In 2014, cloud software company Wondersign introduced their 'endless aisle' kiosk for furniture retailers. Within a few months, the first kiosks contributed to double-digit sales lift, much improved customer experience and unheard-of retention numbers. The digital catalog kiosk allows consumers and sales associates to find items that are not on the floor. It also empowers consumers to be in control of the shopping experience, leading to impulse buys and higher average ticket size—all while improving customer satisfaction. "Our first customers were smaller, independent retailers, taking a leap of faith by investing in a tool that seemed promising, but had no track record in their industry," said Andy Reinhard, chief executive officer, Wondersign. "With over 8,000 installed units in the Home Furnishings Industry alone, it is now time to give back to independent retailers by offering an attractive discount plan for BrandSource." Discounts are available for both the Multi-Brand and Unlimited Plan that allow furniture and appliance retailers to add a certain number of brands to their kiosks and tablets. The multi-department kiosk that features furniture vendors, appliance brands, and electronics brands on the same kiosk specifically offers the best value—all with Wondersign's unmatched customer service seven days a week. "When the independent dealers marry the newest retail technologies, like Wondersign, which are becoming increasingly available and affordable, with a well-focused, small-store format, they are standing on firm ground," said Michael Allen, vice president of home furnishings, BrandSource. The discounted plan for BrandSource members is in effect immediately. Wondersign officially introduced the program at the BrandSource 2018 National Convention in Las Vegas with an exclusive manufacturer product training, filled with best practices on how to increase in-store sales, led by Wondersign Chief Executive Officer, Andy Reinhard.
