In December, Redstone members and friends get to brighten the lives of children and families throughout the Tennessee Valley and Middle Tennessee when they drop off letters to Santa at mailboxes located in Redstone branches, email the letters to a special address found on Redstone's website, or drop them off in mailboxes located at select charities. Redstone will donate $1 to HEALS, Inc. and National Child Advocacy Center of Rutherford and Cannon counties for each letter dropped off or emailed during December. Last year's charities each received $5,000. •is year's goal is $7,500 for each. HEALS, Inc. is a non-profit that provides school- based medical and dental care to children of Madison County. National Child Advocacy Center serves child abuse victims, child sexual abuse victims and drug-endangered children – along with their non-offending family members. Santa Claus himself will also join in the fun. Santa will arrive at •e Atrium, next to the Wynn Drive branch, on December 5 to visit with children, take photos and enjoy a cup of hot cocoa. Jolly Old St. Nick will be in Murfreesboro on November 29 at Redstone's Rutherford Boulevard branch to greet children and read their letters. Watch redfcu.org for more information. She ran into Tammy Reynolds, a member of Redstone Federal Credit Union's Brightness Crews, who was out looking for ways to brighten lives by buying school supplies and clothing. For Bojang, it was a true gift. "I am in complete awe," she said after Reynolds bought her items. "I am beyond thankful for this gift. •ank you, Redstone, for helping those in your community." Bojang was one of hundreds of people in the right place at the right time this summer to take advantage of Redstone's Acts of Brightness. It is the second year that Redstone purchased school supplies and clothing as part of its Acts of Brightness initiative. •roughout 2017, Redstone also bought groceries and paid for utility bills, cable, lunch and more. In 2018, the Brightness Crews are doing more of the same.
