WELCOME HOME
Alpha Delta Summer Updates
D
o you ever struggle with the time, money, and
energy that it takes to maintain your home? We
all want the place where we live to feel like a home and
to invoke that welcome feeling that is so important to
the integrity of you and of your family.
This is how we (your House Corporation)
feel about the Alpha Delta house at Ole Miss.
Although we feed almost 400 women a day, house
at least 60, and entertain a whole host of university
students, we want our Chapter House to feel like home.
This sentiment was part of a song that we sang during
preference round and it still rings true today. Feeling like
you are at home is what makes a sorority a sisterhood!
This summer, we updated our front yard with a formal
courtyard where members can gather on a beautiful
day and we made our dining room more functional
to both the staff and the women. We added four more
bathrooms downstairs and reorganized everything!
The results are stunning; our new steps and front
lawn feel like an English garden and our dining room
flows flawlessly. It takes a village and some really
tight deadlines, but we are proud of what has been
accomplished this summer.
The Phi Mu house at the University of Mississippi does
in fact feel like a home. We invite you to come home
soon. We will all be waiting for you!
