At our meeting Saturday night we held elections for new officers for 2013, with Richard Sol re-elected as President; Ed Pereira re-elected as Vice President; Darlene Dickison re-elected Treasurer; Lisa Sol re-elected Wagon Master and Bob Devine elected as our new Secretary. Wayne Barry was Trail Boss and he decorated the tables using the fall colors of orange table cloths, napkins, Bbrown table runners, pumpkins, autumn leaves, gourds, pumpkin people and orange cups full of candy. The December meeting and dinner was at the home of Richard and Lisa Sol in El Camino with them acting as Trail Bosses. On Dec. 8, the group met at the Sol residence in El Camino and held our Christmas Dinner with their residence all decorated for Christmas. Nine member rigs were represented and one guest rig, along with Jo Day, Aunt of Lisa Sol, as a guest. Each place setting had a gift bag of candy provided by Richard and Lisa Sol who acted as Trail Bosses for the day. After dinner, we held our meeting with incoming secretary Bob Divine taking the minutes in the absence of Retta Pereira who was ill. Wayne Barry, Past President, installed the 2013 Officers. (AP) — The search for a missing California woman who disappeared on New Year's Eve at Lake Tahoe ended Friday when her body was found behind a snow bank, authorities said. Foul play is not suspected. Alyssa Byrne, 19, of Petaluma, was in South Lake Tahoe with friends over the holiday to attend the Snow Globe music festival. They were staying at the Horizon Casino Resort in Stateline. Police reports The following information is compiled from Red Bluff Police Department, Tehama County Sheriff's Department, Corning Police Department and California Highway Patrol. Arrests • Paul Dennis Anderson, 59, Red Bluff was arrested at Walnut and Bidwell for felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanors of two counts of contempt of a court order, possession of marijuana and failure to appear after a written promise. Bail was $28,216. • Nikole Culbertson Birchfield also known by the last name Moore, 32, Corning was arrested on Ventura Avenue for felony possession of a firearm. Bail was $15,000. • Antone Marty Durrer, 37, Gerber was arrested on Ventura Avenue for possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance for sale. Bail was $30,000. • Steven Eugene Raines aka Steven Alex Logan, 36, Gerber was arrested on Ventura Avenue for possession of a controlled substance. Bail was $15,000. • John Kevin Rankin, Corning was arrested for felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and transportation of a controlled substance as well as misdemeanors of selling drug parapher- Douglas County Sheriff's Sgt. Pat Brooks said a utility worker found Byrne's body around 8:30 a.m. Friday along Pioneer Trail, between Black Bart and Al Tahoe. Authorities suspect Byrne may have tried to walk back to her hotel after the concert and became disoriented or lost, Douglas County Undersheriff Paul Howell said. The vehicle was later recovered by the Tehama County Sheriff's Department. • Someone at Olive City Insurance on Solano Street in Corning reported just before noon Wednesday the theft of a Christmas tree on the pole for Christmas tree lane sometime within the last 30 minutes. • Someone reported Thursday the theft of a red 2000 Chevy Tahoe taken from her residence on Toomes Avenue. • Someone reported Thursday on Blossom Red Bluff Ralph's Tax Service Avenue the theft of $25 and prescription paper work. • Someone at the Tehama Village Apartments on Toomes Avenue in Corning reported Thursday afternoon the theft of gas. Someone else reported the theft and requested extra patrol due to gas theft. • A woman reported Thursday the theft her wallet, a brown dooney and burke with her driver's license, ID Card, Her and her daughters social security card and $20 cash, taken from her unlocked vehicle at Dollar Tree on Solano Street in Corning. Vandalism • A vehicle's windows were broken on Second Street. • Dandy Lions Childrens Shop on Hickory Street reported damage to a window. • Someone at Cabernet Apartments reported they had a flat tire. • Martin Hveem Auto Restoration on Schwab Street reported a damaged mailbox. • A woman on the 4000 block of Barham Avenue reported the rear hatchback window of her vehicle was broken. Damage was estimated at $200. • A teenager on the 14000 block of Oak Knoll Drive reported all four of his vehicle's tires were slashed and eggs broken onto the vehicle. All four tires will have to be replaced. • Someone at the Salado Orchard Apartments on Toomes Avenue reported Wednesday evening that within the last few months an unknown person had written profanity on her windshields and Tuesday night had thrown chocolate on the windshield. Extra patrol was requested. Collision A 62-year-old Gerber man was flown to Mercy Medical Center in Redding with major injuries after a motorcycle collision at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday on San Benito Avenue, west of Proberta Road. Ernest Stamp and his friend John Juels, 50, of Gerber were returning home from Cottonwood, driving south on San Benito, when for unknown reasons Stamp rearended Juels. The impact caused both men to be thrown from their Harley Davidson motorcycles, however, Juels was uninjured. The motorcycles had major damage.
