TAU CHAPTER OF THETA CHI FRATERNITY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA TAU TOPICS Fall 2018 TAU REFLECTS ON PAST ACCOMPLISHMENTS Focuses on Overall Success and Alumni Involvement W ith Tau Chapter entering its 102nd year on the University of Flori- da's campus, it's a great time to reflect on our accomplishments; a testament to our sustainability, strong brotherhood, and continued pursuit of excellence. Few Theta Chi chapters, or Greek chapters for that matter, have such a great history in which to be proud. From finalizing our capital campaign, growth in attendance for alumni events, and top-notch recruit- ment, Tau Chapter has much to celebrate. Striving for Success We traditionally have been leaders on campus, in the classroom, and on the athletic field. From hosting Theta Chi University to holding a variety of leadership positions on campus, Tau membership remains committed to excellence. UF is a growing university, and with that comes extreme amounts of competition. Only the best of the best are receiving acceptance into the university. Tau understands it's time to dig in and continue setting a strong precedent. Tau Chapter Offers a Competitive Edge Our Chapter offers a competitive edge not only for on-campus living but for membership in our brotherhood. Walking through the halls of the Chap- ter House not only brings back fond memories of my life as an active mem- ber, but now builds new feelings of humility, thankfulness, and pride. As alumni, we have gone on to become leaders within our communities and career fields. Many brothers are able to trace the roots of our success to Tau Chapter. The legacy we received through the fraternity—character and values, leadership skills, organizational skills, social skills, and team- work—has been an integral part of our personal success stories. Our heritage and traditions are upheld and continued today by an out- standing group of undergraduate men. This legacy does not just happen by chance. Their efforts are augmented by the loyal support of our alumni. Together, our ever-changing membership has created and continued a true institution at UF—one in which we can all take great pride. Alumni, You're Invited Orange and Blue Weekend was a great success in the Spring. Alumni trav- eled from across the nation to enjoy a multi-generational brotherhood event. If you live in Gainesville, or travel back for festivities, you always have a standing invitation to join us at the Chapter House, including on game days. Additionally, we will have our annual alumni gathering on Homecoming weekend on Saturday, November 3. We hope to see everyone there. Fraternally, Brad Jones '96 Realty Board President • bradjonesuf@yahoo.com Dan Mullen, the Gator football coach, stopped by the Chapter House to talk about his high expectations for the team and mentioned the importance of support from the Greek community.
