Help Support Beta-Gamma by Paying Your Alumni Dues W e started the new fiscal year on July 1. is means our dues cycle for the 2018-19 academic year is up and op- erating. Annual CIAA dues remain $50. e monies de- rived from dues wholly support the publishing of the Beta-Gamma Gab, support social programming, and help defray some of the costs in maintaining our two properties. I have been asked how many Brothers pay their annual dues. is past year 66 of the 1,568 living alumni paid dues. is was down by 40% from 2016-17. is was understandable because everyone was awaiting the final decision on what was to happen with the house. One way we could cut costs is if we were to accumulate everyone's email address. Currently, we have about half (786) the living alum- ni's email addresses. Our goal is to get to 80% and then distribute every other Gab electronically—a huge cost savings. I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge Dan Carr '74 for his financial genius over the past two years. Dan has operated the books for the Housing Corporation (HC). He has decided it's time to pass the duties onto someone with better accounting skills. I don't know if Dan can ever be replaced. On behalf of all the alumni, we thank him for his dedicated service and timely reports. If you can volun- teer to manage the books for the HC, please contact me. Fraternally, Jeff Knezovich '75 CIAA Treasurer treasurerforciaa@gmail.com Make the Trek Back for Homecoming 2018 T his year, Eastern will celebrate Homecoming weekend on Oc- tober 19-21.
