The Friends of the Quartzsite Food Bank is an Arizona Tax Credit nonprofi t. A group called the Phone Tree has been started here in cooperation with the Quartzsite Neigh- borhood Watch group. The purpose of the group is to check on the welfare of you every day. It can be done by phone, text, email or through a Facebook group. We all know someone who has fallen and could not get up for some reason and laid there for days. This will hopefully eliminate that from happening. Especially in this heat. If you would like to be part of a Phone Tree Calling, Texting or Email list please sign on at the Library or the Senior Center. There is no charge. The area includes Quartzsite, La Paz Valley and Rainbow Acres. These are your volunteer neighbors contacting you not a business. If you go to Facebook Quartzsite Phone Tree group and ask to join, you will be asked a few questions and then you will check in every day before 10am so we know you are ok.
