Dr. Kilpatrick named Endocrinology Fellow Special to NWa Democrat-Gazette C. Rachel Kilpatrick, MD, of Washington Regional Endocrinology recently was named a fellow of the American College of Endocrinology. This designation through the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists indicates a physician has achieved a level of training and experience consistent with the high standards established and adopted by the clinical endocrinology specialty. AACE is an international professional medical association with more than 7,000 members in the United States and 90 other countries. Dr. Kilpatrick, a native of Fayetteville, earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo., where she also completed a fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. A member of the American Diabetes Association and the Endocrine Society, Dr. Kilpatrick is board certified in internal medicine and internal medicine-endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. In 2014 she established the first endocrinology clinic in Washington County. Gregory achieves certification in Infection Prevention and Control Special to NWa Democrat-Gazette Julie Gregory, a registered nurse in the Infection Prevention and Control Department at Washington Regional, recently achieved certification in infection prevention and control. CIC designation is awarded from the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, the leading provider of professional certification for infection prevention and control. Gregory, who has been with Washington Regional for two years, graduated from William Buchanan School of Nursing in Texarkana, Texas. She is a member of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology.
