TOPS meets FANTASTIC 4TH OF JULY In the 20+ years my wife and I have called Quartzsite home, we have never enjoyed the 4th of July as much as we did this year. The Town of Quartzsite really out did themselves. The fi reworks were fantastic. Made me proud to call Quartzsite home. I would like to say a big thank you to all respon- sible for making July 4th, 2018 so much fun and the best ever. Clyde Praast NEED A LITTLE HELP? On June 23rd, my Mother Kath- ryn Hopkins went home. She was 99 years and 4 months old. I was the sole care provider of her for 3.5 years. My sisters would come into town to help me out from time to time but the most help I had was from River Valley Hospice. Without their help I would have had a hard time maintaining the care she needed. I have never known a group of people that were more friendly and professional and most important of all compassionate. The things they helped her with in her last days were awesome. Anyone that has a need for a loved one I would highly recommend River Valley. Their phone is 928- 457-0100. Hal Davidson, Quartzsite COMMUNITY MEMBERS, I am truly thankful for the get well wishes, cards sent, and conversa- tions and hugs! It is a privilege to serve this community. The sense of cohesiveness keeps us tight. For that, I thank you. It makes this job/ career more desirable knowing this is present. My police service dog is doing well as well. He was in an emotionally rough patch through- out this whole ordeal but much bet- ter now that he is back!! I will see you all again out there soon. Thanks again for helping my family and I through this rough time. -Keynan Weltha K9 offi cer Quartzsite PD Like us on Facebook at www.facebook.com /DesertMessengerNews Follow on Twitter @DesertMessenger @QuartzsiteRain Community craft and an inside- outside YARD SALE will be held Saturday, July 21st, from 8am - 12 at the Quartzsite Senior Center. 40 N Moon Mountain Ave. Quartzsite, AZ November 2018 Election Primary Election August 28, 2018 General Election November 6, 2018 • Last day to register to vote in the primary WAS July 3rd. • Early Primary ballots mailed August 1st. • Registered Independents & non- PEVL voters can request a primary ballot from their County Recorder • Last day to register to vote in the General Election is October 9 • General ballots mailed October 10 • Early General in-person voting begins October 10 • Find your polling place, request your early ballot, check your voter registration status at https://azsos.gov/elections Phone: 602-542-8683 or 1-877-THE VOTE La Paz Co.
