The Quartzsite Senior Citizens Center serves delicious lunches, which includes a drink and des- sert three times a week. The Senior Center is open Monday, Wednes- day, and Friday and is open to all. Asking a donation of $3.50 per person for lunch. Remember you don't have to be a senior. Lunch starts at noon sharp! Get out of the heat, eat and meet your neighbors. The Senior Center is open all year-round, located at 40 Moon Mountain Ave., Quartzsite. For more information call (928) 927-6496. It may be the summer when Quartzsite slows down but we here at the Quartzsite Food Bank are still busy serving hundreds of people each month. It takes lots of wonderful volunteers and donations to keep us going. If you have a few hours on Tuesday or Thursday from 8-noon come to join our great group of volunteers at Carol's Cupboard or Closet. We are also still signing up people for Senior Boxes. You must be over 60 years old. The income requirements to qualify are: 1 Person Monthly $1,316 2 People Monthly $1,784 You must provide documentation of identity that includes the date of birth and photo. Examples: State issued ID, Pass- port, Driver's License. When you are trying to fi gure out the best place to make a donation don't forget us at the food bank. We are a 501c3 nonprofi t. We are qualifi ed as an Arizona Tax Credit nonprofi t which means you can re- ceive dollar for dollar back off your Arizona taxes up to $400 for a sin- gle person and $800 for a couple. The Quartzsite Food Bank is com- pletely run by donations.
