Penni started working in the library in August of 2004. One of her favorite things to do on her days off was garage sales and thrift stores. That was her thing to do on Fridays. She was a great cook. Always had something that smelled and tasted so good. She will be missed by a lot of people. She was close to a lot of the patrons." From her friends at the BLM:"Penny Urmeneta was a valued BLM Vol- unteer for 20+ years at the LaPosa South Contact Station where she and Brenda would act as the sum- mertime coordinators. Penny's love of the desert and care and consider- ation for all those who visited was genuine and instrumental in as- sisting the BLM provide a safe and enjoyable public land experience. Penny will be greatly missed by her BLM family."
