SIGMA PHI EPSILON We would like to see alumni volunteer for the following roles: AVC PRESIDENT The AVC president is responsible for the general supervision, direction and well-being of the AVC, and its work with the undergraduate Chapter. The president will work closely with the district governor, all AVC directors, officers and volunteers, and the Chapter counselor. AVC TREASURER The AVC treasurer is responsible for all financial transactions and records of the corporation, including the annual budget. The treasurer also advises the undergraduate vice president of finance on the Chapter's financial operations. Finally, the treasurer ensures the proper financial management of the Chapter House. Along with the vice president of housing, the treasurer is responsible for managing the assets of the AVC. He will work closely with the AVC president, the AVC vice president of housing, the Chapter president, the vice president of finance, the Chapter counselor, the house manager, and the district governor. AVC VICE PRESIDENT OF RELATIONS The AVC vice president of relations is responsible for all alumni, volunteer, and donor cultivation efforts. This includes providing alumni with a continued connection to Sigma Phi Epsilon by developing and promoting volunteer and networking opportunities, and managing consistent alumni-focused communications. Additionally, this officer engages parents, university faculty and staff, and community leaders to support the Chapter. He will work closely with the AVC president/AVC secretary, the Chapter counselor, vice president of programming, vice president of communications, and the district governor. AVC SECRETARY The AVC secretary is responsible for maintaining an organized corporation. He works with the AVC president and vice president of relations to communicate both internally and externally. The AVC secretary will work closely with the AVC president, the Chapter counselor, vice president of relations, the AVC treasurer, the vice president of communications, and the district governor. We are also looking for alumni to be involved in mentoring. This is an important aspect of being a part of a Balanced Man Chapter and providing input to the undergraduate members. A mentor can be based on professional backgrounds, experience based on undergraduate position, or just being there for a member when they want advice. Please consider taking on a role on the AVC. If you wish to consider being elected to a position, please send an email to Mark Salmon '87 at fish87@me.com by September 25. The AVC will have the list of candidates available on September 29 during elections. Kyle Broadfoot '18 will attend law school and work toward his MBA at Arizona State University.
