Friday, December 21, 2012 ��� Daily News 3B Hospital presents annual grant awards below poverty level including a new music therapy program, Northern Valley Catholic Social Service Family Resource Center family nutrition courses, Slow Food Shasta Cascade EBT program for the year round Farmer���s Market and Tehama Together 2-1-1 information and community resource line. The total grant amount divided among the recipients was $38,000. The selection committee, comprised of St. Elizabeth Advisory Council members and community members at large, reviewed eight letters of intent with a total ask amount of $110,480. Five of these requests were invited to submit proposals and the four finalists were selected. "It is always a rewarding and meaningful experience to work with our selection panel of dedicated community citizens St. Elizabeth Community Hospital presented the 2012 grant recipient awards Thursday during the December St. Elizabeth Advisory Council meeting. The grant award opportunity was announced earlier this year and is a part of the annual Dignity Health Community Grant funding program for all eligible non profit 501(c)3 organizations. Sr. Pat Manoli, senior director of Mission Integration, presented the grant awards to Family Service Agency, Northern Valley Catholic Social Service, Slow Food Shasta Cascade and Tehama Together. During the presentation, each recipient presented a brief overview of their project.
