une signifies an important milestone in the Honoring Our Legacy, Se-
curing Our Future campaign—plans for the new chapter house will be
filed with the City of Austin. As the plans are reviewed, the campaign
board is focusing on financing. ere is a significant need for continued
alumni support as we progress toward demolition in 2019.
To date, we have raised $4,165,495 toward our $5 million fundraising goal.
In order to properly fund the project, we must reach this benchmark so the
chapter does not have to take on additional long-term debt.
Fraternity Means Family
Some of you may question the relevancy of fraternities today, especially
amongst the negative media stream regarding Greek life. But I ask you to
remain faithful. We need to remember that fraternity is where family is
made. How many of us met our best friends, our brothers, at Beta Mu?
Chances are a Pike brother has been with you through some of the most
significant times of your life. We're more than just brothers through Pike,
we are one another's best men, mentors, godparents to our children, and
counselors in trying times.
