For more information about summer events visit marinyearoftheolderadult.org. SENIOR STROLLS Enjoy an easy walk led by a Parks naturalist, making stops along the way for flowers and wildlife. Catch a glimpse of the rare Tiburon jewelflower while experiencing scenic views in Old Saint Hilary's on June 3. See birds and butterflies in the Bahia wetlands bordering Rush Creek Preserve on June 24. Journey to Point Reyes on July 17, and meander down a shaded "earthquake trail" in Bear Valley. Stay cool on the oak-covered path that winds through Santa Margarita Island in San Rafael on August 7. FUN FOR ALL AGES Create a masterpiece and let the tide carry it away at the Sand Castle Build on June 17, at Upton Beach near Stinson. Family-friendly bingo takes place the morning of July 11, at Paradise Beach Park, and you can paint picturesque Par- adise scenery and wildlife on August 8. No experience nec- essary; Parks provides the art supplies. Wind down summer with s'mores and hot choco- late at a Chicken Ranch Beach campfire on August 17. HUG A TREE It's the 100th anniversary of Save the Redwoods. This non-profit conservation orga- nization has helped protect 200,000 acres of California forest. Celebrate by visiting the redwood groves of Indian Tree Preserve in Novato, and post a photo on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram with the hashtag #Stand4Redwoods.
