About 60 kids came to the temple to search for colored eggs at the 10th annual hunt. Some 965 candy-filled plastic eggs were hidden around the temple as early chilly temperatures evened out and the sun rose high into the sky. Brothers took about 60 people on tours of the temple, a magician performed for the kids and all enjoyed some good food and fellowship. LUMBERTON – St. Albans #114 brother Rick Gregory escorts a young lady to a pageant at the Carolina Civic Center. The lodge has an ongoing support arrange- ment with the Robeson County Parks and Recreation Department's program for the county's Special Needs population. Gregory, Durham Lewis, along with brothers Aaron Milstead, Lewis Woodard and Brent Barfield had the privilege of escorting 15 young ladies in the pageant. COVE CITY – On a cold Saturday night in late January, Ionic #583 had an un- invited guest in the fellowship hall: a three-ton pickup truck. Considerable damage was done to the building and contents of the fellowship hall, including past master portaits that had been displayed on the wall where the truck entered. While broth- ers wait for structural studies and word from the insurance company, Zion #81 has invited the brothers of Ionic to meet there. RALEIGH – Secretaries from almost 30 lodges gather at the Grand Lodge to hear the latest news and updates from Grand Secretary Walt Clapp. The Grand Lodge offers the "school" on a regular basis to help secretaries handle the workload that comes with an active lodge.
