22 — The Messenger Wednesday, April 25, 2018 A fter eating all the pickles, barbe- cue and food truck treats the N.C. Pickle Festival has to offer, you might feel like you need to work off some of those excess calories. Luckily, the festival has not one, but two chances to get in some exercise, as the event will host the 5K Cuke Patch Glow Run April 27 and the Tour de Pickle bike ride April 28. Registration for the Cuke Patch run will begin ay 7:30 p.m., with the run beginning at 8 p.m. The race begins at the intersection of John and Center streets in the vicinity of Ribeyes Steakhouse,112 N. Center St. Runnin', pedalin' and picklin' The N.C. Pickle Festival will feature a variety of competitive events, including the Cuke Patch 5k on Friday night and the Tour de Pickle on Saturday.
