"I volunteer for Gamma Phi Beta today because of the experience I had as a member of the Alpha Xi Chapter," Melinda said. Melinda has fond memories of her time in the chapter house. "Those are the special times I remember most, and I hope my service to Gamma Phi Beta can help provide an experience that is just as fulfilling for other young women," Melinda stated. "My Gamma Phi Beta inspiration has to be current International Alumnae Vice President Autumn Hansen, University of Idaho '01," Lindsay said. "When I was an active member of Alpha Xi, Autumn served as a collegiate leadership consultant and visited our chapter for a few weeks." Lindsay recalled that Autumn was such a source of love, inspiration, and support during the advisory board transition. GAMMA PHI BETA CELEBRATES THE 75TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE CLC PROGRAM M ore than 75 years ago, Evelyn Gooding Dippell, Illinois at Urbana-Champaign '33, set out as our first traveling secretary to support our collegiate chapters and thus established the foundation for what has become the Collegiate Leadership Consultant (CLC) program. Although the title and responsibilities may have changed a bit since 1943, the original focus has remained the same: to connect our individual collegiate chapters with the larger international organization. Since then, more than 300 women have served our organization in this important and vital role. Alpha Xi Chapter is tied for fifth with Alpha Iota, Beta Kappa, and Theta chapters for the most alumnae who have traveled for ΓΦΒ. There will be a celebration breakfast at the convention in Dallas in honor of the CLC program's Diamond Jubilee.
