Beam & Bud Jim Beam and Budweiser have teamed up for a new collaborative effort. The new drink is slated to be called Budweiser Reserve Copper Lager and comes amidst the pair's "beer and a Bourbon shot" marketing campaign it will employ in on-trade venues. Budweiser Reserve Copper Lager—a limited time release—will come out in September ahead of the 85th anniversary of the end of Prohibition. Budweiser Reserve Copper Lager is the product of Budweiser brewmasters rubbing elbows with seventh generation master distiller Fred Noe of the Kentucky-based bourbon whiskey brand. It is brewed with two-row barley and aged on Jim Beam Bourbon barrel staves. "This partnership feels especially natural given our brands' common values and the pivotal roles they've both played in American history," says Rob Mason, vice president of marketing for Jim Beam. Blanco will help you find Religion Religion Tequila presents its award- winning Blanco tequila. As the Gold Winner for Best Tequila at the 2017 Global Spirits Awards, Blanco brings full bodied, intense aromatic herbal aromas and raw agave, flashes of spices like black pepper, harmonious tones of grapefruit and lemon tea, a pleasant discovery and a slight floral aroma of olives. The cooked agave defines its personality. For taste buds, Blanco is silky, with delicate displays of passing steam cooked agave, lemon tea and black pepper, with a balanced and vibrant finish. Bacardi out with two new offerings As part of its "premium-isation" efforts, Bacardi is coming out with two new products: Bacardi Añejo Cuatro and Bacardi Gran Reserva Diez. Bacardi Añejo Cuatro has been aged for four years and "introduces consumers to a more sophisticated, complex side of rum while still being a smooth and drinkable product." The company's Gran Reserva Diez is a 10-year-old expression. "The future of rum is bright, and we are excited to introduce an accessible entry point to premium rums with Bacardi Cuatro," says Sarah Doyle, vice president Europe for Bacardi. Royal Partridges family At least one London-based grocer is commemorating this month's royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Partridges is marking the occasion by releasing a bergamot-infused London Dry gin called No.2 Chelsea Flower Gin. The gin is a collaborative effort between Partridges and Dunnet Bay Distillers, based out of Scotland, and has been described as "elegant, indulgent and rounded with body and freshness" and features hints of citrus, coriander, lemon tart and vanilla. The No.2 gin is a follow-up to the grocer's first expression, Chelsea Flower Gin, which was launched a year ago to coincide with the company's 45th anniversary.
