M y name is Michael Cusolito '20, and I have had the honor of being cho- sen as the 2018 eminent archon of the New Hampshire Beta Chapter. I am from Melrose, Massachusetts, and am a sopho- more in the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics, majoring in accounting. Ever since joining the New Hampshire Beta Chapter in the spring of 2017. Ever since joining the New Hampshire Beta Chapter in the spring of 2017, I have had doors opened for me I would have never imagined, and the opportunities to develop as an individual are endless. ΣAE Fights the Stigma After hearing the eminent supreme archon state he wanted ΣAE houses to be safe places for people, especially victims of sexual assault, the chapter believed in that idea and wanted to do more to help prevent sexual assaults on our campus. On February 16 at 8:30 p.m., Sigma Alpha Epsilon faced off against Sigma Phi Epsilon in a philanthropic hockey game at the Whittemore Center. The two teams came together to raise money and awareness for the UNH Sexual Harassment and Rape Pre- vention Program (SHARPP). Through selling tickets to the game and selling shirts we raised around $3,265. Both ΣAE and SigEp stand firmly behind SHARPP's message and vision and were happy to be able to play hockey to raise money for a great cause. Sigma Alpha Epsilon Takes Over Peter T. Paul Business School A new and unique aspect of our chapter that helps promote the highest standards of friend- ship, scholarship, and service to our members is our designated study room in the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics. Our members can freely collaborate with oth- er members on school work, event planning, and new business in the comfort of a breakout room in the Peter T. Paul Building, just down the street from our chapter house. Community Outreach Done the Right Way On Sunday, April 15th, our chapter will be host- ing a barbecue and car wash for the friends and families of the Durham Fire Department. We strongly believe in giving back to the dedi- cated individuals who give their time to keep us and the rest of our campus safe on a daily basis. Hosting events for the fire department has always been a tradition at New Hampshire Beta and we intend to preserve those tradi- tions and relationships. We will also have our annual Durham cleanup day this April, a day filled with brotherhood and service as mem- bers walk around the Durham community and clean the streets. The Leaders Den The brothers of New Hampshire Beta take pride in the amount of leaders the chapter has. Both Brothers Bryce Schultz '19 and Joseph Ramirez '20 are on the executive council of Interfraternity Council as CFO and vice presi- dent of recruitment. Brother Ramirez, who is eminent recorder, had the privilege of going to the Northeast Greek Leadership Conference (NGLA) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with both the Panhellenic executive council as well as the Interfraternity executive council. During the conference, he learned valuable information on issues like recruitment and alumni outreach. The executive council at New Hampshire Beta is ready for an exciting year. All of the execu- tives are full of energy and enthusiasm to keep the chapter going in the right direction. In the coming year, our organization looks to maintain and strengthen relations with the university and other Greek and non-Greek or- ganizations on the University of New Hamp- shire campus. Our younger executive council makes up for what we may lack in experience with an eagerness to learn and grow, and we will continue to lead our organization in a posi- tive direction in a fast-growing and inclusive Greek community.
