Taylor TV Media Soaring hearts: While many trips can be life-altering, a new reality TV series on Lifetime is redefining just how transfor- mative travel can be. Catch a new episode of "Love at First Flight" when it airs Tuesday, April 17. With all of the time, plan- ning and expense that goes into taking a trip, even the most romantic excursions can leave a person longing for home. This new Lifetime series looks to have its romantic get- aways lead to lifelong commit- ments, putting the concept of immediate attraction through a jet-setting test. "Love at First Flight" takes two strangers, both on the hunt for someone to share their lives with, and sends them on high-flying adven- tures to random destinations across North America. With lit- tle knowledge of where they'll be headed or why, these pairs must take advantage of these memorable moments and complete unique challenges in order to become more familiar with one another, while reveal- ing as much as they can about themselves and their own per- sonal needs and desires. Ex-cellent: The search for love is hot on the beaches of the U.S., though this feisty mix of romance and rage first made waves on distant shores. Thursday, April 19, sees the se- ries premiere of the American version of "Ex on the Beach," airing on MTV. Following in the edgy foot- steps of its parent series, "Ex on the Beach" takes 10 be- loved, currently-single reality TV stars and gives them a fresh chance at love while enjoying the sand and sun of Hawaii. The cast consists of celebrities from a wide array of shows, in- cluding Chase McNary ("The Bachelorette"), Paul Calafiore ("Big Brother"), Faith Stowers ("Vanderpump Rules"), Taylor Selfridge ("Are You the One") and more. Such a rich variety of cast members certainly lends itself to some very passionate possi- bilities. Those familiar with the British version of the show are well aware, however, that the fun in the sun can be all too quickly ruined by the arrival of an ex — or two — at any time. The results, as one might ex- pect, are anything but heart- warming, as new-found loves are ultimately tested and jeal- ousy threatens to tear poten- tial relationships apart. It's a format that guarantees drama and the stuff that addic- tive reality TV is made of.
