The Campaign for a New Chapter House
HONORING OUR PAST, BUILDING OUR FUTURE
Our Proud Past: A Solid Foundation
T
he Alpha Gamma Chapter of Alpha Gamma Rho and the University of Florida share a storied tradition dating back to 1924. With more than 1,725
initiates, Alpha Gamma has influenced the lives of numerous men, cultivating lasting friendships in the process. Many of our best college memories
revolve around our AGR experience. It is those memories that provided early training, including character development, leadership skills, organizational
skills, social skills, and teamwork, which have played an integral role in our persaonal success.
While today's college experience may differ compared to the one you knew, there is an unbroken chain of AGR brotherhood at Florida that has
continued for nearly 100 years. AGR alumni can be proud of the legacy we have helped create and the quality of our chapter that carries on today.
BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE
Our chapter house on 13th Street has been a home away from home for hundreds of young men. As alumni, we have both a privilege and a duty to preserve
the legacy of our great fraternity for future generations. This project will not only serve the immediate needs of our undergraduates, but as a premier
facility, will create a home for all AGR men to use and enjoy in the years ahead. If we wish to cement Alpha Gamma's record of accomplishment, we
must commit ourselves to this grand endeavor to secure the future.
"Through the years I've seen AGR provide mentorship, maturation, and
guidance for men at Florida. Because of those experiences, I've witnessed
them continue on to be leaders around the state of Florida and beyond."
– Dr. Jimmy G. Cheek '93, Honorary Campaign Chairman
"Through the years, AGR has provided a 'home-away-from-home' allowing men to build lifelong friendships."
