We asked readers to send us their North Bay Nature Photos, and this is one of our
favorites from Cathy Henley Yarger who shared this stunning coastal photo.
nguishing and still raw,
#sonomastrong and
#metoo are topics we were compelled
to cover in this issue. To my friends and
family who lost homes or were affected
by the North Bay fi res, I commend your resolve,
and hope that our female fi refi ghter cover
symbolizes strength and all that embodies
#sonomastrong. To my tribe, our #metoo story is
provocative, and I feel is very important (I even
shared it with my 12-year-old daughter.) I hope
that you'll fi nd a nugget in the story that resonates,
provides closure, or even inspiration.
Highlights on the lighter side: We showcased North Bay stylists from Marin, Napa
and Sonoma who composed a look book of ensembles for real women in our com-
munities.
Marijuana is changing our landscape in many ways. Our story here focuses not
only on women entrepreneurs but the landscape that allows women and marijuana
edibles to mix and mingle. It took awhile; I fi nally fi gured out how to get wine tast-
ing into work. Cheers, and who knew that Marin wines could rival that of our sister
counties? Check out our staff tasting notes.
To our past nine cover subjects: You each represent authentic North Bay women,
thank you. Your beauty, wisdom and inspirational stories
have guided us to this moment. Our goal is to continue
to make you proud by providing stories of authenticity,
motivation and zeal. Happy 10th issue of North Bay Woman.
Love, Lori
