Epsilon Calls Epsilon Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta • University of South Dakota • Spring 2018 Our new living room, toward the front entry. The new dining room will look lovely upon completion. Epsilon House Moving Quickly Toward Finish Line Your Support Is Critical E ach day, Alpha Xi Delta Epsilon's new chapter house moves closer toward the finish line. Progress is moving at such a fast pace, it's impossible to keep you fully up to date with this newsletter, but here are the big projects happening in March and April. • Interior painting has begun. • The formal staircase railway will start to take shape and other interior finishes will be installed. This spring, we have focused on house furnishings and decor. Our design committee has had the honor of working with our amazing designer, Sarah Bergstrom, to select the colors, patterns, and textures that will give our new house the polished, beautiful appearance of an Alpha Xi Delta home. Sarah's job has not been easy, however, as she has had to scale back her designs due to uncertainty with fundraising—we still haven't reached our $1.4 million goal! As a result, we have to downsize our furnishing plans until we raise the full $1.4 million. It is a tough spot to be in. As we announced earlier this spring, a group of dedicated alumnae came together to help us purchase furniture and décor with a $70,000 matching gift! Thank you to Vikki Hoven Foley '64, Linda Eagan '65, Mary Brandon Miller '67, Cynthia Manke Jewett '67, Kay Cameron Olson '68, Mary Ann Vlahakis McAtee '67, Mary Ricciardello Sandvig '74, and Carol Ricciardello '76. So far, $4,700 has been raised toward this $70,000 match. If the rest of our alumnae can raise the full $70,000 to match their gift, we could add $140,000 to our totals. We NEED this money to completely furnish the house. You have until April 15 (the weekend of Founder's Day) to double the impact of your gift thanks to this matching challenge. Please take a moment to review the beautiful design palette for the living room on this page. By making a gift today, you will help this design come to life. You can also buy items directly from our registry. View the Coming Home gift registry at www.giftster. com/gift/public/rAUr2/. You can buy dishes, bookcases, kitchen equipment, or make a contribution toward larger items such as painting, closets, and the formal fireplace. We have a large house with a large chapter and must be able to provide enough chairs, desks, couches, and bookshelves for our girls. Please use the enclosed pledge form to make your gift today. You can help this house come alive! This truly is such an exciting time for Epsilon Chapter and I hope you will join me on this once-in-a-lifetime journey. Yours in Alpha Xi, Mary Duncan '98 President, Alpha Xi Delta Epsilon Chapter Corporation Board (605) 659-5094 Making a purchase from the Coming Home gift registry is easy!
