They are never ever going to ask you to make a payment via gift card or wire transfer. Please keep this in mind if you receive a call from any- one asking for personal information or payment over the phone. There are far too many people falling for these scams and making payments to criminals. Don't let yourself, friends or loved ones be a victim. If someone calls you saying they're the IRS, APS or any other govern- ment/business and they're asking for payment of any kind over the phone, don't do it. No reputable source is going to ask you to make a payment via gift card or wire transfer.
