Ironwood, Quartzsite FULL SERVICE Quartzsite Roadrunners Gem and Mineral Club (QRGMC) and Quartzsite Improvement Association (QIA) are pleased to announce that due to the generous contributions of local business owners and many individuals, a total of $8,100 will be awarded to fi ve young people from the Quartzsite area to assist with their college fi nancial expenses. The scholarship committee led by chairman Roger Nielsen, Fran Og- den, Linda Fisher, Louise Rhine- vault and Janet Morris thoroughly enjoyed interviewing all of the ap- plicants. All fi ve of the scholarship recipients are ambitions, outstand- ing and goal orientated. One re- cipient will receive his High School ABOVE: Nancy Nichols (QRGMC president) Sandy Andreason (QIA President) diploma along with a HVAC Resi- dential/Commercial Certifi cation from Mohave Community College. This fall he will be continuing his education in order to receive a de- gree in Industrial Technology Man- agement. Another graduating High School Senior is interested in be- coming a pediatric dentist and will be attending Northern Arizona Uni- versity this fall. Three of the recipi- ents are currently enrolled in col- lege. One individual is interested in becoming a Physical Therapist and two recipients are pursuing nursing careers. Both clubs would like to thank ev- eryone for their contributions dur- ing the scholarship fundraisers. Awarding the fi nancial scholarships would not be possible without the people in this area giving of their time and money to attend the schol- arship fundraisers. Thank you.
