Our Chapter produces many of the finest leaders on campus, excels in academics, and creates lifelong friendships. gamma-rho Zeta plaCes fourth in aCademiCs The hard work of our members and associate members in the classroom was apparent through our fourth-place finish in grades for the fall semester with a 3.18 GPA. Through our Chapter-wide incentive programs, including the reintroduction of the 4.0 GPA dinner, and our collaborative learning opportunities advertised through our High Sigma, the Chapter continues to make academics a top priority. The Chapter will strive to place first in academics for the spring semester. The Chapter's new member education program continues to instill the values that we hold dear. This was evident through the initiation of 47 out of 53 associate members this last fall. As the new member program continues to improve, we fight diligently against the growing stigma associated with fraternity education. Chapter exCels in Campus and Community involvement Gamma Rho continues to set the bar when it comes to on and off campus involvement. Our members hold various leadership positions on campus including the Relay for Life chairman and homecoming court nominee (Alex Berney, ΓΡ 2658), former Student Government Association president (J.D. Baker, ΓΡ 2648), and the VP of finance for the Interfraternity Council (Carter Pettigrew, ΓΡ 2768). Luke Hudson ΓΡ 2769, will soon be honored at the upcoming Fraternity and Sorority Student Life awards ceremony for his outstanding accomplishments in community service through his volunteerism at Life Church in Norman. As the Chapter closes in on its goal to log 4,000 community service hours, we are offering new opportunities for our members to get involved this semester, including a service day at the regional food bank. With an intense focus on philanthropy for the upcoming year, we hope to reestablish the historic White Rose Pageant benefiting Big Brothers and Big Sisters in Norman. The Chapter is currently trailing first place in intramurals by 35 points with numerous opportunities left to take the lead. The pursuit of yet another intramural championship will be spearheaded by our fearless Intramural Chairman Alex Jensen, ΓΡ 2763. alumni, reConneCt with gamma-rho Zeta It is an exciting time for alumni involvement with many new opportunities for engagement with the Chapter.
