A PublicAtion of the KAnsAs betA chAPter of sigmA AlPhA ePsilon sPring 2018 The lion's lore INSIDE: Kansas Beta Sets Aggressive Chapter Goals 2 Welcome, New Members 2 Thank You, Loyal Donors 3 Alumni News 3-4 I am pleased to report that the actives continue to provide strong leadership and the chapter continues aggressively on the upswing. For the spring 2018 semester, the chapter house is once again full with 59 men living in. The house has never looked better and the chapter budget is in solid shape. Please read the chapter update by Ryan Montgomery '20 on page 2. A sincere thanks to each of you for your tremendous support in donating over $325,000 for our summer 2017 kitchen and dining room remodel project. We were pleased to host nearly 300 parents and alumni on ΣAE Family Day at the chapter house on Saturday, September 30, 2017. We dedicated the kitchen and Presidential Dining Room to the only two Kansas State Alumni to ever serve as University President, Milton Eisenhower '22 (1943-1950) and General Richard B. Myers '65 (2016-Present). PLEASE JOIN US FOR KANSAS BETA ALUMNI DAY Saturday, April 21, 2018 • 9:00 a.m. — Chapter house tours available • 10:00 a.m.— Kansas Beta House Corporation spring 2018 meeting • 11:30 a.m.— Lunch available • 1:00 p.m.— KSU Spring football game This will be a great opportunity to meet the men in the chapter and see the results of recent renovation projects. Our next major improvement project is the chapter house HVAC system, which ranges from 30 years old for the air conditioning to over 50 years old for the boiler. The total project cost will be approximately $150,000. Fundraising activities are in process. Thank you for your continued support.
